WHY I BUILT THIS
“I created TKOG Defense Corps™ because I want police brutality confronted everywhere, victims seen and heard, our communities organized for their own lawful protection, and Black America connected to a permanent national institution with the power to advocate, serve, respond and represent its needs.”

I want a Black mother, a Hispanic father, a teenager, a returning citizen, a business owner or an ordinary resident to know that during a frightening traffic stop, police encounter, violent incident or neighborhood crisis, there is an organized institution they can call on for witnesses, documentation, advocacy, de-escalation, support and connection to the right lawful resources.

I am outraged by police brutality. I am outraged when victims feel invisible. I am outraged by violent neighborhoods being treated as normal. I am outraged when communities have numbers but no institution capable of converting those numbers into organized protection, leadership, service, economic capacity and civic power.

THE FOUNDER’S CONVICTION

WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN FEARING CRIME AND FEARING ABUSE OF POWER.

The answer is disciplined organization. It is people who know their rights, understand their responsibilities, serve their neighborhoods, document accurately, de-escalate conflict, build relationships, create opportunity, advocate for justice and develop institutions strong enough to protect human dignity over generations.

MISSION

Protect people and build organized community power.

Build a national civilian network for community response, civil-rights advocacy, police accountability, violence prevention, service, mentoring, education, readiness and lawful protection.

VISION

A permanent national community-protection institution people can call, trust and build with.

Chapters, 24/7-response capacity, Academy training, volunteers, professional partners, police-policy intelligence, community watch, service missions, leadership pipelines, national civic organization and AVA™ technology operating together as one institution.

PURPOSE

Turn population into organization, organization into capacity and capacity into protection.

Develop people and systems capable of serving communities, defending civil liberties, reducing violence, increasing accountability, expanding opportunity and centralizing the civic voice and protection capacity of Black communities while building principled alliances with people of every race, religion and background.

WHAT I REFUSE TO NORMALIZE

OUTRAGE MUST BECOME ORGANIZATION.

Anger without structure burns out. TCDC exists to turn conviction into disciplined institutions, trained people, measurable service and permanent community capacity.

01

POLICE BRUTALITY

I refuse to normalize abuse of authority. Law enforcement must remain accountable to law, due process, ethics and the people it serves.

02

UNHEARD VICTIMS

I refuse to accept a reality where crimes, injuries or civil-rights violations against Black and Hispanic people are ignored, minimized or left without organized advocacy.

03

COMMUNITY VIOLENCE

I refuse to accept funerals, retaliation, fear and preventable death as permanent realities of inner-city life.

04

WEAK COMMUNITY POWER

I refuse to leave our neighborhoods without permanent institutions capable of organizing protection, service, leadership, documentation, advocacy and civic representation.

05

DIVISION

I refuse the idea that strengthening Black communities requires hatred of other races, religions or communities. Power and principled cooperation can exist together.

06

PURPOSE & COMPASSION

I refuse to build power without principle. This institution must stand for dignity, integrity, responsible leadership and service to everyone.

MY HEART FOR THE COMMUNITY

I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW THEY ARE NOT ALONE.

I want residents to be able to call for support during a frightening police encounter, a neighborhood problem, a civil-rights concern, a youth crisis or a community emergency and know there is a disciplined network prepared to witness, document, de-escalate, advocate, serve and connect them with lawful professional help.

I want Black communities to become nationally organized and institutionally powerful without becoming isolated from the rest of society. Strength should produce better race relations, stronger representation, greater accountability and more responsible partnership across Black, Hispanic, White, Asian, Indian and other communities and across religious differences.

And above all, I want millions to encounter Jesus Christ through what we build, how we live, how we protect human dignity, how we love our neighbors and how seriously we take sacrifice, truth, courage and service.

THE INSTITUTION WE ARE BUILDING

VISIBLE. DISCIPLINED. LAWFUL. ORGANIZED. INCLUSIVE. COMMUNITY-ROOTED. PERMANENT.
